I once had a graphic design instructor that always referred to the "gestalt" of a drawing, logo, etc., meaning that the separate parts had to work even better as a whole unit. I'm reminded of that because your work is so successful in that way...each composition works so well as a whole, and has such a great way of keeping our eyes focused within the drawing.

What a great drawing! Is it helping you stay cool in all that heat and smoke? And seeing the comment above is the first I heard of you getting the runner-up Don Freeman grant!!!!! That's so excellent- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
