Museum sketches...

Yesterday I went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science with my cousins, who were visiting from Florida, and my mom and dad. I managed to sneak in some quick sketches.

I think I'll have to head back to the Museum sometime soon to do a longer drawing of the Red Hartebeest. He's such an unusual looking fellow, with his very long face and spiraling horns. Read more about him here.

  1. Not only is the Red Hartebeest an interesting looking fellow, he has a GREAT name! Nice sketches- the museum sounds like a good place for inspiration.

  2. Brooke..first of apologies for such a long delay in visits. I think blogger ate my most recent comment to you and I am scrolling through and am SO sorry that it had done that! My goodness, a very belated congratulations on your wedding!! And Peru for your honeymoon sounded wonderful!! I wish you a fantastic time at the summer conference this year..I'm so jealous..I've never been, but hopefully one day I will get the chance to. Are you showing your portfolio? I hope so..your work is just amazing and I know you'll have lots of great comments and feedback and that this will be awesome for your career. Looking forward to hearing all about it. And keep up the fantastic sketches and beautiful illustrations!!
